This Mama is Calling a Time Out!

October 28, 2013 6 Comments Holly & Nat

This post is part of a social shopper marketing insight campaign with Pollinate Media Group®, PEOPLE Magazine & Hershey’s, but all my opinions are my own. #HersheysPeople #pmedia http://cmp.ly/3/8vNxcO
Are you ready for this week? Between costumes, pumpkin carving, school parties, and trunk-or-treats it can get a little crazy when preparing for Halloween! Luckily I have an action plan for when things get stressful:
Time Out.  Chocolate and some good reading material are definitely required.
As a stay-at-home Mom, I find myself repeating certain phrases all the time. “What’s the magic word?” and “please share!” and “flush and wash!” are part of my mommy vocabulary. Some days are full of fun outings and silly songs and smiles and playing pretend. And then there are those days. You know – the ones where you want to stay under the covers and never come out? When you’ve already cleaned up 2 messes in the bathroom, 1 in the kitchen and 1 on your shirt and it’s only 9 am? On those days, this mama puts herself in Time Out!

You better believe I made a sign for my bedroom door! Now my kids now they’re not in trouble, I just need a little break. Then I shut the door, set the timer for 5 minutes and catch up on all the latest in my PEOPLE Country Magazine.

I would feel bad about sneaking around with the yummy Hershey’s Dish Candy too…but the kids will be getting tons on Thursday, right?

You can print your own “Mama Time Out” sign for your door too! (Right-click and save to your computer.) I’m thinking I need a sign for the bathroom door…that’s always the worst area of intrusion from little people!

I stocked up on Time-Out necessities at Target – and I have an awesome coupon to share! You can get $2 off your total purchase when you buy PEOPLE Country Magazine and Hershey’s Dish Candy.
(Note: it can be used on the regular weekly PEOPLE edition…I just couldn’t pass up that cute Luke Bryan on the PEOPLE Country! Sorry, Meg!)
Click HERE to get your $2.00 off coupon!
While supplies last! Print now before it’s gone!
AND I’m dying to know how you take a break?
What do you do to recharge before heading back into the trenches?

Ha ha! I love that sign. Thanks for the printable! And for the coupon. I love taking a break with a magazine and a cut of iced coffee…now I have no excuse not to. 😉

You need to read the book “Five Minutes Peace” by Jill Murphy. It has a Mamma Elephant in a bubble bath with her cup of tea on the cover. It’s a really cute book and a really cute gift to give to your girlfriends paired with a spa kit or relaxation cd or something of that nature. Love the sign and I agree about sticking it on the bathroom door! 🙂
