Saturday Share #5 – Halloween Theme Pack & Giveaway

October 5, 2013 47 Comments Holly & Nat

Last week I showed how I’m using one of the new Project Life Theme packs – School. You can see the layouts HERE. I can’t wait to show you another fabulous theme pack – and it’s for one of my very favorite holidays – Halloween!

The thing I am loving about the smaller theme packs of cards is that they are not overwhelming! You can make a few layouts, or like I am – a mini album! I’m going to use this great Midnight Mini Album to hold all our Halloween pictures from the past several years! It will make it so easy to just slip in 3 or 4 pictures from this year after the Trick-or-Treating is over!

Here is a sneak peek of my album! Next week I’ll show you the completed album and some tips on getting it done quickly and simply.

The digital overlays I used on some of my pictures are from Rebecca at Simple As That, one of the Saturday Share girls! Go check them out if you want to add a little something extra to your photos!
I love this theme pack SO much, and am happy to say I get to give one away! Enter using the Rafflecopter below to win the Halloween Theme Project Life Cards.
Don’t forget to keep reading for the Linky Party!
a Rafflecopter giveaway

If you’re new to Saturday Share – or Project Life – let me catch you up really quick. Each week, this fun group of bloggers will be sharing Project Life inspiration as well as a linky party. We want to see what you’re up to and feature you – so PLEASE spread the word to all your PL-lovin’ friends!

Be sure to visit the other blogs to see what they’re up to this week – I am always inspired by what I find!

Simple As That • Pebbles • Sweet Rose Studio • Balancing Home • SNAP • Imaginisce
And now, time for the Saturday Share Linky Party! Link up your Project Life layouts, tips, tricks, printables, and anything Project Life related. We are so inspired by you!

I think my favorite was when I was 10 and I was a witch. My Aunt worked at the local college’s drama department and they did the full witches makeup on me–green face, extra nose, and even a wart! I need to find those pictures of me and scrap them 🙂

It’s tough to choose my favorite costumes. It would be between the year my son was Batman and his sister Robin, or the year he was Peter Pan and she was Tinkerbell, or the year when my youngest daughter was only 3 weeks old and they all went as M&Ms (Red, Green and Orange)!

Last few years have been ..unique…costumes…which my boys LOVED! They choose to be different ‘items’…Oreo cookie box (Rayo’s), a ketchup bottle (won first place, and in the newspaper) and McD’s drink cup! Their choices, and they helped the whole way to make them…it’s been fun! I hope my DD likes to do things like that in the future!

My “kids” are all adults now, but I think I loved the clown costume that my mother made for them. And since that time, it was passed down to my grandchildren. She also made coordinating clown costumes for my husband and myself.

My favorite Halloween costume for my kids so far has been when I made my son into a leaf pile when he was 2. I took a plain sweat shirt and sweat pants and covered both pieces with fake leaves. My son carried a little plastic rake. Got so many compliments on that costume!

My favorite costumes for my girls was when they were butterflies at almost a year old. They kept trying to eat each other antennae, it was too cute for words. Especially b/c these two babies were born three months premature and I didn’t expect to get to enjoy that particular moment. For my son, it was a dragon costume at age of two. He walked around in the neighborhood with this long spiky tale and had the most adorable face in the head piece. Now he just wants to dress up as something scary each year, the scarier the better, lol.
