Hey. I’m popping in this afternoon to do a QUICK share of some Project Life pages I whipped up. This brand new digital Strawberry Edition Core Kit was just released (and it’s on SALE!) this week and I am having so much fun playing with it! The bright colors and patterns are making me reeeeeeallly want it to be Summer. I guess I’ll have to settle for Spring. The PINK totally screamed Birthday Girl, and luckily we had one in the family a few weeks ago.
Here is the spread from Bella’s birthday. Contrary to popular belief, I sometimes go super simple on birthdays. That was the case this year and it was such a nice and pretty relaxing birthday! I did attempt homemade cinnamon rolls (thanks to Our Best Bites for the awesome recipe) but that was the only big thing I did – and I counted it as her cake!
It was hard for me, but rather than coming up with a Pin-worthy theme, I taped streamers to her door, blew up some balloons, and instead spent the morning spending time with my birthday girl. We did sparkly pink 5 year old manicures and special curly locks for her big day.
Note: I actually love themed birthday parties. This was, needless to say, a struggle for me to keep it simple. I didn’t take pictures for the blog. I made Rice Krispies for the kids’ cake. And it was a hit! Lesson learned? We’ll see. Until March Madness next year…
