The kids are out of school for Summer Break here! On the last day of school, we celebrated with our neighbors that all get off on the same bus stop. I had a few little things ready for them in the backyard and this fun summer banner was such a simple way to decorate!
I totally feel like kids (and parents) deserve a little celebration for making it through another school year! We had popsicles, water balloons, and bubbles for the kids to enjoy when they got home from school.
Are you loving the pineapple trend for this summer? I added a little twist with some of my favorite bright colors. The cute pineapple graphics are from
To make this banner you’ll need:
- These Pineapple Summer Banner printables
- scissors
- twine
- clothespins or hole punch
You can cut around each pineapple like I did or leave the white background and cut into rectangles before hanging. I loved using mini clothespins for this banner – since I didn’t have to punch any holes and string each piece it literally took 1 minute to hang up!
Of course we had to use our favorite things right now – the Heidi Swapp Lightbox!
Do you have any Last Day of School traditions? Holly’s new neighborhood attacks the kids with silly string when they get off the bus – how fun is that? We hope you have a fun and safe summer, and we can’t wait to have more time to create with our kids and hopefully get some sister time in too!
I love this! My parents used to take us to the beach and have a bonfire every year on the last day of school! Even all these years later it’s still one of my favorite traditions and I can’t wait to do it with my kids. Love the water balloon idea too! Thanks for sharing 🙂
Thank you for the pineapple banner! I have been searching for something summery for my wall. Love it!
Lydia, Thank you for your sweet comment! I’m so glad you like it! Have a great SUMMER! – Nat
