This post is sponsored by Target, but all opinions are 100% mine. I can’t wait to show you this twist on a traditional LOVE sign for my Valentine’s Day Decor… I made it from paper straws!
I found these black and white striped paper straws in Target’s One Spot, along with some other darling paper crafting goodies from American Crafts. This entire Valentine’s Day vignette cost me less than $5 in supplies!
I picked up a pack of Valentines paper, some of these dimensional stickers, and a package of paper straws, each for $1. The other supplies I used were scissors, a ruler, and hot glue. I started out by cutting the straws to create the letters L, V, and E.
Once I had all the pieces cut, I laid them out to create each letter.
I used hot glue to attach all the pieces together a complete the letters.
Aren’t they cute??
I decided to make a paper medallion for the “O”. I cut the 12×12″ paper into 3″ strips, measured and marked the fold lines. (I made a mark every 1.5 cm)
I folded each piece accordion style, then glued the ends together to create a circle. I did the same thing with the heart paper for the background layer, then added a cute heart embellishment sticker in the center.
I finished the vignette off with a simple garland created with baker’s twine and more of the American Crafts Valentine dimensional stickers. I also added a few more paper medallions…
I really love the way it all came together. If you’re looking for some Valentine’s Day paper crafting or party supplies, I suggest you RUN to Target and gather up some of these goodies from the One Spot before they are all gone!
