My Nursery Inspiration (and $100 Home Depot gift card giveaway!)

I am really excited to share my baby girl’s nursery inspiration with you guys today! Since I am most likely having my baby on Wednesday {eeek!} I have been doing some serious nesting this weekend and getting the room all ready for her arrival. I had fun putting together some inspiration boards, based on the existing furniture that I already had to work with, and came up with two totally different designs. I chose two styles of carpet from Home Depot’s SoftSpring™ Carpet line to highlight in my designs. It is amazing how the color, texture and style of flooring you choose can create a totally fresh look in your space.

So, here is the fun part 🙂 My nursery is almost complete, so now you guys get to guess which inspiration board matches up most closely with my final room!

Option 1: Girly Fox Nursery

For this nursery design, I picked out a beautiful, classic carpet in a warm color – SoftSpring Splendid Carpet in Alamo. I love how it has the look of a natural jute rug {but much softer on the feet!}

This color will never go out of style, and as a mom of young kids I absolutely LOVE the fact that it hides dirt and is super stain-resistant too. It’s protected with a repel technology that protects against the toughest kid stains, but just in case, you get a lifetime warranty too. One of the things that I always look for in flooring for my kids rooms is durability, but I want it to be comfy too 🙂 Because it is made of 100% premium soft nylon {with twice the fiber of regular soft nylon}, SoftSpring Carpet is known for its soft touch. I definitely want that for my new baby when she starts crawling and walking around!

Option 2: Geometric Modern Nursery

For this design, I kept my basic pieces of furniture {I’m stuck with them!} which are my cream-colored traditional crib and dresser. I wanted to explore a more modern look with geometric accents so I used the flooring as a jumping off point. I chose a graphic, patterned carpet this time – SoftSpring Breathtaking Carpet in Thundercloud. Don’t you love the gorgeous gray?

This amazing pattern allowed me to break out of a more traditional design and explore some of my modern design cravings 🙂 I just can’t believe how different these inspiration boards turned out, and it all started with the floor. The SoftSpring line of flooring is a great starting point for any design style because there are over 50 styles of carpet in more than 28 colors!

  5. The Girly Fox Nursery with the Softspring Splendid carpet. I feel the Modern Geometric Nursery is kind of cold looking.I love the SoftSpring Breathtaking II {Thundercloud} carpet, but think would be too much with the chevron.

  16. wow…both are gorgeous! The great pattern of the carpet and the organic feel to the mirror in the 2nd choice – the modern feel, put that one ahead for me! although, the fox print is super adorable!

  32. I really love both of them! I’m trying to incorporate foxes into my nursery design too. So, I think the geometric is more girly and I love girly girly for girls! haha, how’s that for confusing

  58. I bet you chose the modern geometric one. 🙂 I think the fox one is so cute too but the geometric one seemed easier so that would be my choice. 🙂 both are ridiculously cute though! Good luck tomorrow!
