I am having way too much fun with my Halloween Chalk Art this year! If you missed my last post, check out how I made a huge Halloween burlap wall hanging for my living room. I also ordered a 3′ x 4′ engineering print of the skeleton, and couldn’t wait to make it into something special for my kids… Mr. Bones:
I took a large magnet board and trimmed my print to fit inside the frame, then just used double-stick tape to apply it to the metal magnet board. That way, it is perfect for a seasonal decoration and I can remove it after Halloween. This is how it looked when the print was first attached… I had a helper/model to show how HUGE it is!
I let my kids pick out what they wanted for the accessories to “dress up” Mr. Bones. I used all kinds of materials from my craft stash, and attached magnets to the back of each accessory with hot glue.
The magnetic letters were leftover from another magnet board project from the past. My 6-year-old had a blast spelling different words and nicknames for Mr. Bones.

What a fun idea! I’m sure any kiddo would love to play with that. 🙂
What a great idea! Love how big the print is!
holy cow! how super colossal is this?!? waaaaaay cool! :>D
Oh my goodness. I thought this was so cute when I thought it was just a chalkboard skeleton… but you can dress it up with magnetic jewelry… TOO MUCH! Love this, so creative. Thanks for sharing with us.
Love it! If you haven’t linked up yet, come share your project on Teach Me Tuesday: http://www.somedayilllearn.com/2013/10/21/teach-tuesday-38/
