Here’s a simple way to make those fun carrot-shaped treat bags you see this time of year – for much less than it costs to buy the cone shaped plastic bags!
Supplies:
- plastic treat bags
- Carrot Cake Hershey’s Kisses (or other orange candy)
- Fringe Scissors
- green cardstock
- ribbon or twine
- clear tape
To make your treat bags the right shape, all you need to do is fold in each corner to a point and use clear tape to hold it together!
Fill with your favorite candy (I actually think these Carrot Cake Kisses are really yummy!) and close the bag with a small rubber band or piece of string.
These fringe scissors are SO fun to use! Cut a strip of green cardstock (mine was about 3 x 8.5 inches) and add the fringe to the long edge using the scissors. Make sure to leave a 1/2 inch section uncut so you can wrap it around the top of the bag.
Wrap the fringe around the top of the bag and use a small piece of tape to keep it tight. Tie a bow with ribbon or twine and you’re all set!
Now they’re ready to add to Easter baskets or give to neighbors, teachers, and friends!
Happy Easter!
These are super cute!!! Thanks for the great idea 🙂 Happy Easter!!
