Did you see that? I wasn’t kidding – this is a 5 MINUTE project! Mother’s Day is coming up, and it’s probably one of the most notorious holidays for homemade gifts. Button bookmarks are easy to make and the kids can even help make a set for Grandma!
Confession: I do not have a button collection. Tragic, right? I don’t have any buttons besides the leftovers from this party and the ones that come with my favorite cardigans from Target. Hence the “vintage” in quotations!
- buttons
- wire cutters or industrial scissors
- paper clips or pre-backed clips (from SNAP swag via Pick Your Plum)
- E6000 glue (hot glue won’t work on the clips I used. Dang.)
4. Give your mama some cute homemade bookmarks and make up a story about the vintage-ness of the buttons. Okay, I’ll be doing that last part, but you don’t have to.

So cute, Nat! Love how easy this is! Can’t wait to try it!
Now this is the kind of thing that my kids need to make for me! Maybe my husband could use a little hint, because I’m pretty sure he could handle using glue ;D
Such a cute idea!! Love it!! I don’t have a button collection either 🙁 This is a super cute project though!!
Cute!
Cute!
Super cute, and I needed something for my kids to give their teachers. Not sure how well it will go ever with the sixth grade teachers, but I like it!! The 3 year old and I will have to make a trip out to Joann Fabrics today!!
Super cute! I can’t find the prebacked paperclips anywhere – do you have a direct link?
Would Tacky Glue for this? by the way this is a great project.
