Caramel Apples To Go (Teacher Gift Idea)

May 27, 2014 7 Comments Holly & Nat

Some of you may already be out of school for the summer, but my kids still have 2 weeks left! If you are looking for a last-minute teacher gift to give at the end of the year, we have a perfect solution.  The best part? Everything we used to make these yummy gifts can be found at the grocery store. Our “Caramel Apples to Go” are always a big hit with everyone!

What you’ll need:

  • apples (small size)
  • single-serve caramel dip (found right next to the apples!)
  • candy bar for topping (optional)
  • wide-mouth quart jar

what to put in caramel apple jar

I was pretty excited when I found I could fit two apples in my little jar! This is why you must get the wide-mouth jars.

The snack size container of caramel fits in there perfectly, too! The candy bar can be crumbled up on top of the dip for an extra treat.

Don’t worry, we’re not leaving you without a cute printable tag! You can print the PDF of 4 tags (found HERE) or right-click to save this image (already sized at 4×6 inches) and print at your local photo printer.

You can also punch it out with a 3″ punch and tie it to the jar with twine or ribbon. I love using flattened cupcake liners to decorate the lids of jars! It’s an easy alternative to cutting out paper or fabric.

Oh my what a fab idea! I don’t have any kids, so no teachers to give to, but I sure do have a lot of friends who would like this! x
