This post was created in partnership with Minute Maid as part of their #doingood campaign. All opinions and ideas are 100% my own.
I can’t believe it’s already time to start thinking about school again! My kids have their “Back-to-School Night” in less than 3 weeks. We are looking forward to meeting their teachers and getting to know them before the first day of class. We usually take a little gift to the teachers and let them know we appreciate all they do for our kids. This year, I decided to make a Reverse Care Package for my son’s teacher, because who deserves to know they are #doingood more than our teachers?
All summer we have been sharing ideas for creating reverse care packages, like this summer survival kit and gift for Nat with some of our favorite memories and childhood movie. We love the concept of reverse care packages because we know that parents have a tough job, which too often goes without thanks or recognition. Take a look at this heartwarming story about a college student and how she was able to thank her mom for always #doingood.
I’m really excited about my son’s new teacher. I’ve heard she gives so much of her personal time to make the classroom experience above and beyond! With that in mind, I thought it would be fun for her to get to know my son before school starts, so I’m including this printable that has lots of “juicy” details (fun facts) about him, along with some Minute Maid Mixed Berry juice boxes.
My son really enjoyed filling this out with his favorite school subjects, after school activities, what he did this summer, and other fun details about himself. Nat is a former elementary school teacher and she designed the questions with a teacher in mind, so we’re hoping it helps his teacher get to know what he likes doing in school.

It would also be something that the teacher could use in her classroom the first week of school to pass out to all of the kids in her class to get to know them better.
If you are thinking about putting together a back-to-school gift for a teacher, here are some ideas for what to include:
- Classroom supplies (No. 2 pencils, colored pencils, crayons, and glue sticks are always used up quickly in elementary school!)
- Hand sanitizer
- Resealable storage bags in assorted sizes
- Anti-bacterial cleaning wipes
- A favorite educational game for the classroom
- Books
- Craft supplies (ribbon, hot glue sticks, pipe cleaners, felt, etc.)
- Snacks or treats for the kids
- Minute Maid Juice boxes for the classroom (and the teacher’s) snack supply
I guarantee, if you bring any of these items to your child’s teacher, you will be their hero! Teachers have an incredibly important job which sometimes go unnoticed. As a parent, this is one way I can give back and help them know how much they are appreciated!
If you know a teacher or another parent in your community who is always #doingood, take the time to make them care package and special #doingood delivery. Your kids would love to help too!
