$5 Friday: Christmas Tree Chalk Art

December 6, 2013 2 Comments Holly & Nat

I think it’s a new tradition. I must incorporate one of these chalk art designs into every holiday’s decor! It all started with this huge burlap hanging, then this easy wrapping paper frame, and now I’m showing you how to create a glittery Christmas version. This is the easiest one yet! It cost less than $5 in supplies, and took literally 5 minutes to put together. Here it is:

Supplies:
– Gold glitter poster board {found at Target in the school supply section}
– 18 x 24 Engineering print of this Noel Chalk Design {from the Caravan Shoppe}
– glue stick
The poster board was $2, the “Noel Chalk Set” cost $5 for a set of 4 prints – so technically this one was $1.25, and the engineering print cost me $1.79. The easiest way to order your black & white engineering print is on Staples.com. You just have to upload the file, select your desired size, and make sure to check “fit to paper.” The 18 x 24 print size fits perfectly in the center of this gold glittery fabulousness I discovered at Target. I didn’t even have to trim it! I also picked up some cute mini Christmas ornaments in the dollar spot and threw together a little garland with some twine.
 For less than $6 total, I have some dang awesome additions to my Christmas decor!
These make great gifts too! I have a friend who is making them for all her sisters and mother-in-law this weekend. Such an easy project, I promise anyone can do this! Next week I’ll be showing you how I incorporated the Oh Holy Night chalk design in my Holiday Home reveal. I just have a few projects to finish up this weekend. I want everything to be perfect when Nat and her kids come to visit! That’s right, I get to see my sis for a whole week and I can’t wait. Best Christmas present ever 🙂

    This looks beautiful. I have definitely used chalkboard a lot more than usual in our decor this year. We even did chalkboard style Christmas cards!
