10 Fun & Easy Shirts to Make for the 4th!

July 2, 2012 5 Comments Holly & Nat

Happy 4th of July…week! Is anyone else excited to have a holiday to break up the week? Around here my little ones have been waving their tiny flags in preparation for the big day.
One of the highlights of the 4th of July here in our little town is the Parade. For the past few years, we’ve done the {cheesy!} matching T-shirts thing…usually from Old Navy. Yes, even my husband will match us. He’s awesome.
{I can’t believe I had a baby this small last year!}
This year, I want to let my daughter help me pick out a shirt to make ourselves. Here are 10 fun and pretty easy t-shirts to make for the 4th of July: perfect for parades, family BBQs, fireworks, and cheesy matching family pictures!
Ruffled Ribbon Flag Shirt {Lily Bloom}
Free Iron-On Printables {The Letter 4}
Eagle Handprint Shirt {Family Fun}
Firework Tie-Dye Shirt {Chaos Served Daily}
Bomb-Pop Shirt {Creating the Hive}
Easy Flag Shirts {Make It And Love It}
Firework T-Shirt {Easy Preschool Craft}
RicRac Flag Shirt {The Project Corner}
Easy 10-Minute Shirts {Tatertots & Jello}

I think I’m going to make these cool bleach T-shirts from our friends Bonnie & Trish. I’ve been wanting to try them for awhile now, and they have a great tutorial on their blog. What design should I do? Stars? The kids’ names?

Bleach T-Shirt Tutorial {Uncommon Designs}
We hope everyone has a great and safe holiday! Here in Utah (and all over the country) we have been having devastating wildfires. Everyone be safe with those fireworks! The many men and women who have been fighting fires all over the country are in our thoughts and prayers, as well as those who have been affected by them!

    Hello love your blog! I would love to make the ruffled ribbon Fourth of July shirt. Is a tutorial available? I am teaching myself to sew and would love to make this shirt for my 3 year old granddaughter. Thank you!
