Heart Art

I've been wanting to make some new Valentine's Day art for my mantel this year, and finally got around to it this weekend. I combined some of my favorite colors... coral, gray, and gold, along with a beautiful textured backdrop to create this lovely heart art.

I used some supplies I already had, along with a few finds from Target. Continue reading for the full tutorial!

Printable Valentine's Day Tags

Do you have any Valentine's Day traditions with your kids? We always make sugar cookies and make valentines for each other. This year I'm going to start a new tradition with these cute little mailboxes (from Target's Dollar Spot, where else?)

Each day starting February 1st, I'm going to leave a little note/ or treat in each of my kids' mailboxes. Some days it might just be a note telling them something that I love about them, some days a little surprise! I made up a few little tags that are perfectly sized to fit in their mailboxes. I can't wait to start this new tradition!

2 Minute Valentine Crown

I love quick and easy projects, and this is one you can make is less than 2 minutes! I created this Valentine Crown from materials in the dollar section, and it has been a huge hit with my little girl. She is starting to get into dress-ups and princesses, and  now she can have her own "queen of hearts" crown, perfect for Valentine's Day {or anytime she wants to feel like royalty!}

New Year's Resolutions: It's Never Too Late!

Do you make New Year's Resolutions? Better yet, do you keep them? (Haha!) As I've thought about my goals for the year, I have to admit I am already a little discouraged. Not because I've already failed...I just don't know if I'm happy with them yet. So I reworked and thought about it over the last few weeks. I wanted at least one resolution that wasn't about me.

Felt Snowflake Throw

I know everyone is into Valentine's Day decor right now, but I'm just not there yet. I am still enjoying my winter mantel and the clean serenity of white. Today I am sharing an easy project that has added the perfect finishing touch to my winter decor... A felt snowflake throw!

I fell in love with this felt lace throw the first time I laid eyes on it:

I have been trying to figure out how I could recreate this lace blanket without cutting an intricate pattern and spending a ton of money on wool felt. Enter my dollar store snowflakes from last year's mantel...

My Favorite Things: Gift Idea + Printable

Last night I went to a "Favorite Things" party with some of my favorite people... our Idaho Bloggers Guild! We each brought 3 gifts, and drew names to find out who would be getting each gift. We all went home with three packages of each other's favorite things! Here are the gifts I brought:

My gift included: 1. Mentha Lip Tint {from Bath & Body} 2. Southwestern inspired bracelet {from Downeast Outfitters} 3. White & gold bakers twine {from Target's Dollar Spot!}

I had fun packaging them up in bags I made from wrapping paper, gold glitter ribbon, and these cute tags :)
I created this set of printable tags a few months ago and now I'm sharing them with you guys! Click through to download the tags and get more ideas for a Favorite Things gift...

Build Your Blog Conference {We're Speakers!}

Next month, Nat and I will be meeting up in Utah for the Build Your Blog Conference. Some of our  favorite sisters are hosting this one-day event -- the girls from Six Sister's Stuff! We met them at SNAP last year, and have truly been blessed with their friendship and support over the past several months.

We are thrilled to be speaking at the conference, and we're giving you a little sneek peek of our class at the BYB blog today...

While you are there, make sure to check out the rest of the schedule and registration information. The conference will take place on Saturday, Feb. 16th in Salt Lake City, Utah.

Any of you locals who are thinking about going... do it! One of the fastest ways to grow your blog is to network with other successful bloggers, and this will be a wonderful opportunity to make those connections. Also, if you are trying to figure out how to turn your blog into a business, this is the conference to attend! There will be a ton of great information packed into one day of classes, workshops, and Q&A panels. We hope to meet some of you cute people there!!! If you are going, leave a comment and let us know :)
