{Secret} Message in a Bottle Valentine

I can't wait to share this fun Valentine's Day gift idea with you guys! I found the most adorable vintage game pieces at the craft store, and used them to create a "secret message" for my son's valentine this year.

These wooden game pieces are numbered 1-90....

Aren't they just darling? I picked them up in the scrapbook section of JoAnn's... the brand is Tim Holtz Idea-ology.
The package of 90 pieces retails for $9.99, but it was on sale for $4.99 when I got it :) You can also get them here. They are so cute, it is definitely worth it!

To create my secret valentine message, I used one of my favorite stamp sets and StazOn ink in blazing red:

I lined up all the pieces in number order, then flipped them over and started stamping each word.

When I was all done, I mixed up the pieces and poured them into a clean glass Crush bottle I had left over from another project:

Another easy option would be to use a Mason jar:

I created 2 different styles of tags that say, "Secret Message in a Bottle" for you to use:

I can't wait to give this to my 7-year-old... I know he will love "decoding" a secret message from mom!
