I know everyone is into Valentine's Day decor right now, but I'm just not there yet. I am still enjoying my winter mantel and the clean serenity of white. Today I am sharing an easy project that has added the perfect finishing touch to my winter decor... A felt snowflake throw!
I fell in love with this felt lace throw the first time I laid eyes on it:
I have been trying to figure out how I could recreate this lace blanket without cutting an intricate pattern and spending a ton of money on wool felt. Enter my dollar store snowflakes from last year's mantel...
I purchased these snowflakes last Christmas to create a beautiful pattern above my mantel, but since then they have just been sitting in my closet collecting dust. I pulled them out this week and decided that they would make a beautiful decorative throw!
All I had to do was line up the edges of the snowflakes and secure the matching points with hot glue. It took me about 10 minutes to put the entire thing together. Isn't it lovely?
I am so happy with the result! Of course it won't keep me warm on the chilly Idaho nights, but it looks dang cool!
I am excited to share my snowflake throw along with a group of amazingly talented bloggers who are all sharing "SNOW" ideas today!
