During our first year of blogging we have been lucky enough to sample and review various products. We try to choose things that we feel passionate about and that fit the style of our blog and readers. I am beyond excited to tell you today about a company called Kiwi Crate! In a nutshell, it's a cute little green box (that comes right to your door) full of all the supplies, instructions and tools you need to do original and educational craft projects with your kids. That's right, NO preparation on your part. No more searching several different craft and art supply stores to find all the components for your latest Pinterest find! I seriously think this idea is brilliant.
Kiwi Crate is giving away a FULL-YEAR subscription (12 crates!)
All you need is a valid e-mail address to enter.
The box we had the chance to sample was all about bugs. It is SO cute!
My little ones could not wait to dig in to their Kiwi Crate. Neither could Mom!
Since it was our first box, they even sent a pair of safety scissors for each of my kids! Whoa, bonus points in this mama's book!
The "My Bug Painting" activity was a blast. Our crate had a bunch of little sponges that transform from flat paper-like pieces to big, fluffy sponges when you put them in water! We used the big rectangular piece to make a "custom" shape like they suggested. My daughter is learning to spell her name, so she was super excited to make a B stamp.
Squeeze the water out and they're ready to go! There were plenty of shapes to make bug prints with. The crate also included 3 different pieces of this big paper to sponge paint on. I loved having everything included for this project in my Kiwi Crate - including the paint (washable, of course) and even a paper plate to put the paint on. We let the sponges dry when we were done and can use them again and again!
The other project, "My Firefly" was just as fun for both kids and Mom. We decorated this small plastic bottle with transparent stickers and then added all the other "parts". Every single thing is included - even the adhesive to attach everything. The firefly is then threaded onto plastic cording so it can literally take flight! The best part: mini glow sticks are included to put inside your firefly for nighttime fun!
This was so much fun to do with my daughter! We had the firefly "fly" back and forth between us (and played keep away from little brother...)
In addition to all the supplies you'll need, the crate comes with illustrated instructions to help you with every step. Our crate also came with these bright and educational cards that feature different facts about bugs! I loved this!
This little green box of goodness far exceeded my expectations. The quality of supplies and the originality of the projects are a win-win combination. Kiwi Crate is a top-notch company that puts out a great product! You can choose to buy just one month or subscribe for several months in a row. My daughter was thrilled to get something in the mail just for her...I'm totally asking Grandma and Grandpa to do this for my kids for Christmas this year!

Ccol! I don't have kids, but I like this idea. I would give it to my girlfriend and her son.
