Did everyone have a fabulous Mother's Day? I have to admit I was completely spoiled with yummy meals (not cooked by me), fun gifts and TONS of hugs, kisses and songs from my kiddies. Oh, and a nap. See #5 below. Can't every day be this good?
I'm taking over the blog this week and excited for my sis to get a much-needed break after doing so many AMAZING projects last week!
Today I have some printable 3x4 journaling cards for you. I'm hoping that making these will motivate me to do a little catch-up with my own pictures! {You can read more below about how I'm doing on my family's Project Life albums...}
I created these "we" cards with the idea of using them in a layout of travel pictures. I thought it would be fun to spotlight some of the things you do differently when you're away from home : what you ate, where you stayed, who you saw. These would easily fit into everyday life photos as well. The "what we watched" card is going in my album with a list of all the Netflix shows and Redbox movies we've been watching lately. Things like that are so fun to look back on.
The set of 8 cards includes:
who we met • where we played • what we watched • what we did • where we stayed • what we bought • who we saw • what we ate
(I'm having some trouble with the PNGs..those are coming soon!)
You can print the PDF sheets and cut them out to hand-write on, or use the PNG files to add pictures to in your photo editing program. Here's what I'm talking about.
I'm so excited to use these cards with pictures from our Park City trip in 2 weeks (where we're meeting up with my Dad & Holly +. family!)
Holly did a great job introducing herself last week, and I've been laughing all week thinking about how most of my "facts" could just be in response to hers! Haha!
For example...
1. You think 5'10 is tall? Well I'm 6 foot. So there! Just kidding. But not about the height. Luckily my handsome husband is a mere 6 foot 5! I love it.
2. Weird thing is, even though I can wear tall shoes with such a tall guy... I rarely do. It's not that I don't like them, it's that I fall off of them. (See #3) I just can't chase kids down the hall at church on Sundays and it's kinda a dealbreaker for me. So flats & flip-flops are my thing!
3. I don't use my height to any sort of athletic advantage. Pretty much just to reach things on high shelves for people. When people ask if I play(ed) sports, I laugh. That sums it up for you quite nicely I think!
4. I have 2 freaking cute kids. Seriously. Look at 'em. I love being their mama. {Even on days when I have to abandon my full grocery cart at the store and go cry with them in the car before returning to buy my stuff. Yup, that happened Saturday.}
5. We nap in this family. Sleep is (how do I put this?) very sacred. My mom taught us well when we were little. We knew if Mom was napping, we should be quiet and let her nap. I seriously thought everyone (like, even adults) napped! I converted my husband when we got married, and now we nap religiously. Oh, except my 3-year old who thinks she's too old for that. She'll come around....when she's 20.
6. And last but not least for today: I'm a third-year Project Lifer. True confession: I don't have a single year actually completed. But what I have I treasure. And I'll finish someday. I hope. So making these cute little tags reminds me that I need to get on that!
Just a little excited when I got my first kit back in 2010.
