{Washi Tape Week} Day 3: Monograms

Today's Washi Tape idea is something I wanted to try after creating my washi tape silhouette last week.... a monogram! I used the same process as I did to create my bunny silhouette, you can check out the full tutorial here.

To create the pattern for my letter A monogram, I used Captin Howdy font, size 300. I also went back to Michaels and picked up another pacakge of their Recollections brand crafting tape. I love my lavendar lace tape and I had to have the pink version! {They have a 20% coupon off your total purchase this week too!}

I applied my washi tape on the contact paper pattern, then cut out the monogram, peeled off the backing paper and applied it. Easy!! I have this cute little wooden crate basket in baby girl's room, and I thought the monogram would add a nice pop of color and pattern...

Since I used contact paper, it's easily removeable, so then I tried it on her shoe basket:

Still cute! But in the end, I decided I liked the first option better :)

Come back tomorrow for another easy washi tape idea and a "totally awesome" announcement :)

  4. I like it on the crate better too, but mostly I just like it!

    Awesome job!

    I may actually have to jump in on the washi tape madness because those patterns are so stinkin' cute!
