I'm really excited about today's guest post by Brooke, from Inside-Out Design. She is an amazing designer, and her home is beautiful. You have to check out her recent DIY project.... she turned a fabric map/wall hanging into a pillow. It's fabulous! And don't forget to enter today's Homegoods giveaway {details are at the bottom of the post}.
Hi, I'm Brooke from Inside-Out Design and I'm so excited to get to take part in this fun series!!
I am lucky enough to be living in a house with this huge, gorgeous evergreen in the front yard:
So this Christmas season, I'm going to be incorporating these pretty branches into as much of my decorating as possible. Here are some simple ideas that I've come up with:
Using them as an accent in a place setting:
Putting them into a frame. {I just used a paper grocery bag as the backing.}
Putting them into a shiny tin can.
{I'm a little obsessed with this look right now.}
Putting them into a mason jar.
Making them into miniature wreaths.
I made mine by taking small branches and wrapping them together with hemp cord.
Then I curved it into a circle and tied the two ends together with the cord.
These look so pretty with a vase or candlestick set inside.
More pretty ideas
{that aren't mine but that I'll be copying!}
As a swag on a window
At the top of a candlestick
As a Christmas card display
In apothecary jars
Laying across the table
Hung on a chandelier
Tied to a napkin
I'm starting to wonder if my tree is going to have any branches left by the end of the holiday season....these ideas are so easy that I want to try them all!
Thanks so much Holly for inviting me to take part in you and Adrienne's Homemade for the Holidays series! This was fun, and now you've got me itching to decorate for Christmas! Can Thanksgiving just be over with already?! ;)
Thanks Brooke! I can't wait to sneak over to my neighbor's yard and help "trim" a few branches :)
Since we are all getting so excited for our Christmas decor, we decided to help you get a head start with a $25 gift card to Homegoods GIVEAWAY! I seriously love that place.
